Cumberland County, NJ — On Monday, March 10, 2025, the Cumberland County Regular Democratic Committee convened to select their endorsed candidates for the upcoming primary election. After careful consideration, the committee is proud to announce their official endorsements for Governor, Legislative Districts 1 and 3, and County Commissioner.
Former Senate President Steve Sweeney received the committee’s endorsement for Governor of New Jersey, solidifying his strong support within Cumberland County.
For Legislative District 1 (LD1), the committee selected Carol Sabo and Brandon Saffold as their candidates to represent the district in the New Jersey Legislature. Both candidates are dedicated to advocating for working families, supporting small businesses, and ensuring economic growth in South Jersey.
In Legislative District 3 (LD3), the committee reaffirmed their support for the incumbent Democratic team of Heather Simmons and Dave Bailey Jr.. Simmons and Bailey have consistently demonstrated their commitment to serving the residents of LD3, focusing on job creation, infrastructure improvements, and education.
For Cumberland County Commissioner, the committee endorsed John Capizola and Yolanda Garcia Balicki.
